basically i started playing GTA EFLC on my RGH Jasper, and for some reason it started getting quite slow and the sound was being really sketchy.. (i cant really describe it sorry).. anyway i kept playing and whenever i started driving the game froze.. and i thought right...

so i did the same thing again, booted the game, walked around for abit and thought i'd take a quick look at the temperatures on the Freestyle 3 mini-blade and the GPU red 69.5*C and the RAM was rather hot too!!. so i though SH1T!! LOL!.. Anyway.. ive turned up the fans now using Freestyle 3's fan settings and now everything is ok.. all i would like to ask now it what can i do to keep it cooler in the future???

Its just that it rather caught me by surprise as i have a Jasper of all motherboards..

The Jasper Specs:

RGH 1 exploited,
2nd Gen CPU Heatsink
1st Gen GPU Heatsink (i think its a Jasper V2 [later mobo])
no extra fans... all i would like to ask is if i fitted a 3pin 80mm Blue LED fan on the top but connected to the rear case fans, (mounted on the case over the CPU) would it effect voltage through the rear fans causing a 3 lighted 0001 RROD???

Thanks for reading and please help..

You should be able to jump voltage from the fans without getting a red ring code, however it might not power the fan fast enough...you may want to just pull 12V straight from the power source under the board, best option IMO, don't forget to use a ground!

You don't need to jump theorem on the fans doing this will ruin them overtime jut get freestyle dash and then change the fan speed in options menu

Yea I wouldn't jump the voltage from the fans, take it straight from 12v power source in the pic I posted or simply crank up the fans in FSD, but IF you are going to add a fan, do it that way.

Yes i do have FSD3.. and yer i mite just add a 80mm fan + a 2nd gen GPU heat sink too!! because i more than anything dont want the damn thing to overheat as i like most others fell into the hole of getting a Xenon JTAG before thinking that the console has overheating issues.. but hey.. anyway if my Jasper did overheat a little.. i would make a pretty interesting statistic!.. LOL!!

You might as well slap some arctic silver on those chips while you're in there. :2thumbsup:

will do!! im thinking small RAM heatsinks with 2nd gen GPU heatsink + a small amount of black tape around the fan sheild to conduct the air more efficiently, some arctic silver paste.. , and a blue 80mm blue LED fan..

NOTE: also just now my temps are:
Processor (CPU) 48.3C
Graphics (GPU) 64.3C
Memory (RAM) 61.5C
Chassis (LOL dont know ) 29.9C

[Thats atm with the fans on 75% with FSD] so is it worth it putting about 20-30 worth of stuff on it to get it 10'C lower??.

I wonder if applying new paste would lower the temps with better heat transfer, that factory paste is absolute crapola
