Advancement in technology within the Human race is leading to us being dependant on technology. In the coming future I believe that our dependancy on technology will rapidly increase. But what if all electricity was taken out and all electronic devices were rendered unusable, what would we do? We are too reliant on technology, we are also too obsessed with technology, I can barely go a day without my phone. I'm not saying that advancing is bad, it is in fact a very good thing but we need to get in touch with real life more than a virtual reality.

What do you think?
What would you do without electricity?

Well once we have used up all our fossil fuels, which will be in the near future meaning no more electric for a while.
Then people will become more dependent on themselves rather than technology doing all the work,
like instead of sending a message/email you walk to their house and talk face to face.

Even when we start using(Not discover, I know a few) a reliable/renewable energy source we will continue to become increasingly lazier and more dependent on our technology.
This is honestly the track I see us following. It's a clip from Wall-e so this post has now lost all credibility. lol [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]
Basically as a human race with technology we are becoming more robotic.

There already is reliable/renewable energy but the government can't tax it so it's not public, yet!

Not true. Electricity does not require fossil fuels like coal or oil. There are plenty of other things like solar energy or wind turbines to generate electricity.

I worded it wrong, I said later on about reliable/renewable energy.
Solar and wind are renewable but not reliable.

I reckon a renewable energy source will eventually be as effective as fossil fuels, but what if there was a constant EMP of some sort and I love Wall-e. I agree with the video 100%.

By all means, be my guest, go without central heating, working cookers, running water, it's hard for most to go without it.

As I do agree with you, we have become very intent into not changing our habits with technology. But if we were forced to part ways with it, i'm sure most of us will be alright, since it's a luxury, not a necessity.

But in your original post, you're just targeting technology advancements in electronics. But if you were to use it in the sense of all technology, it would be a very broad subject. Hell, a hammer and nail is considered technology. Technology will always be advancing no matter what.

As humans, we are very intent and curious when trying to come up with new ideas, to make life simpler. So it's near impossible to think of a day with no technology at all.

Just my opinion,

1 word for if electronics ever stop working... "SUICIDE" most people would do people have become so reliant on electronic things that to have it all taken away now would be unbearable also the way computers are going things like super computers will become much much bigger and use more and more electricity and eventually we will run out so thats why im going to enjoy it while i can

We are indeed a very curious race, we make a simpler solution but we are beginning to make things so simple that there is no longer a challenge or a sense of fulfilment. We will lose our individuality in some areas since machines would be able to make everyone equal.
