As it clearly states, you cannot change the id ever.

Hm, rude, however, it also quite clearly states that I can change my Community Steam ID at any time.

your Community id can be changed by going into profile settings.

You can't change your id (what you login with) but you can change what others see you as, you can do that by going on your profile and then clicking edit, then you can see your profile name and real name and then you can change it.

To change you name do this.

Go into your Profile
Then Click Edit Profile
Then it should say Profile Name, Change it to what you desire.

You can't change your Steam ID but you can change your community ID. Load up Steam and in the top left click the Steam tab then go to settings then click the Friends tab and change your name

You can change your display name to anything. If somebody already owns a community ID than no one else can have it as long as they're using it.
