Hey guys I plan on building my first computer in the next month. Its my birthday and im in a desperate need of a new computer. Haven't had a new computer since 08'.Now my build will mainly be for video editing and maybe just maybe a game or two.I already have some of the small essentials(Monitor,Speakers,Optical Drive, Mouse & Keyboard). Can you guys give me any suggestions on what I should change. My Budget is 800$ but the less I spend the better.

You may need a bit more than 4gb of RAM. Try 8. That'll work much better for you in the long run.

- I would go with the 3570k.

- The 1tb western digital blue is only $5 more than the 750gb. And it is currently on sale until 4/4 for $65.

What is your budget?

Instead of the CPU you have selected at that price, I strongly reccommend upping it a bit more money to this -> [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]

Ram allows you to run more things at once, say you were playing a really big game like battlefield 3 and you wanted to record with a program called fraps. If you had 4gb of ram your computer would lag like crazy and your FPS would drop to say about 10-15 FPS per second. 8GB your PC would not lag and your FPS would drop to about maybe 30-40 on your build. That is why RAM is needed.
