Long story short a multiple choice question on a test at a local school worded "Only human's have the capacity to feel and give love" was made with the correct answer being true. There are so many reasons why this is wrong and I wrote a long reply challenging this logic to the person who pointed this out to me but I want to know what you guys think.

Is forcing a philosophical opinion onto students in the place of knowledge justified? On top of that is it fair that students lost marks for this?

I don't think its fair she was forcing it on you/or whoever. Teachers don't have the right of forcing anything on any student.

I have seen questions like this, I don't think it really forces the opinion on you, rather it's the best answer for the question to the person who created it, so yes it was that person's opinion.

The first answer I disagree with, it's not exactly forcing the opinion onto you, but yes, it's wrong for it to be considered the wrong answer.

That isn't right in any type of way. You can't mark someone wrong for a different opinion. I'm against that opinion anyway, so I would debate it as well. So much proof shows animals have care and compassion. Teacher should be reported to somebody, the school board in particular.
