I'm going to start of with saying the Ranking systems has nothing to do with your kills. But it does have to do with your downs. I'll explain why and how this is undeniably the correct explanation for the Zombies Ranking System[b]
1. My K/D is a piece of ****. Yes, I am talking about kills to deaths and kills to downs. My kills to downs is like 38.2 and I have the Skull with the Knife. My kills to death ratio is like 70 (I jump off the building a lot on purpose)
2. When the game first came out, there was a glitch on Tranzit where you would sit in a coner with a claymore and it would just skip rounds. I was a skull (no knife) before I did this with my friend and after we got to round 255 (Maximum for some reason) with like 3 kills each, we both had the shotguns. Keep in mind we didn't have that many downs at this point because the game was still new, so it defiantly shot up our averages a ton.
3. I started sucking in games and killing myself so much by either boosting for quick revive or just jumping of the map because it's fun that I got de_ranked to the knife because my downs per round average sucks. So, there you have it, the undeniable truth that no one seems to get. Once again if you missed it, it is your Downs per Round average, and it has nothing to do with kills.

I assure you I am not lying. I've tested this many times before with all my other friends who did the glitch. This is as real as it get.

Beilieve me when i say this.
I was at knife.
I went into a game and got 15 kills yes, 15, not 15,000. After that, there was host migration. it kicked me back into the lobby and i had shotguns. I was like, "WTF!!!!"
After trying everyday to get shotguns. i just got into a game and made it to round 3 then i got shotguns.
The highest round i have ever gotten was 27 , and that was on town. i got shotguns at 18k kills with 41 downs. Not bad i guess

Yup. if you leave a game without a down it counts to your total round average. even if it is just round 3 everytime. it still counts.
kills definitely plays no role in what it is. it has to do with rounds and downs. This is why so many people draw such different borders on the things, and why so many people have a high K/D and aren't the shotguns.

Try this out for yourself, dont go for kills just try to not die.
If this doesnt work then that means their are multiple ways to achieve shotguns, either your a team player, you go to high rounds with little downs, or possible a complex algorithm between kills, downs, and rounds.

If you choose to completely disregard this evidence that rounds actually plays a part of it, then you guys are on your own, but these are hard facts.
My theory: i think that on peoples way to get a good k/d on zombies, they unknowingly get a good downs per round average because they are not getting down. Look at youtube videos. so many people have proven that kills isnt really important, zomies isnt multiplayer, and running around with an OP raygun or sliquifier all the time and rarely getting down isnt skill, now is it?
Why they hell would they base the system on that when that isnt even calculating skill? downs per round actually makes sense, because even if you're being carried, the downs show the real truth. also kills is so random in zombies, one game you're 100 kills above everyone and the other your 500 kills below everyone. it just has to do with whos who and whos where.
But you know what guys? Completely disregard all of this and show me how genius the TTG community is.
