I have been listening to spoken word for quite some time, it really has changed my life. It puts complex topics and turns them into an enjoyable, sometimes sad, set of words that I can understand and take in.

If you haven't heard of spoken word I encourage you to youtube a few videos, take a few minutes out of your life. and watch a spoken word on a topic you feel strongly about or want to know more about.

Why I hate religion but love Jesus makes absolutely 0 **** sense.
Sorry but if you actually listen to it and analyze what he's saying, it is all complete bull.

What makes it bull?

He is trying to get the point across that not one church is rite. They all have their flaws and the fact that people buy into one or another and devote their life to it is not really seeing god, but seeing that churches definition and interpretation of god and jesus and that to truly find god we must open our eyes and interpret his scriptures for ourselves and not be held under the ways that the churches interpret them.

(This is not ment to be a religious post, nor am I saying that any religion is wrong or rite.)

My personal opinion is that most religions like branches on a tree, they have the same roots. But to say that being a christian, jew, etc. is 'perfect' is not being part of the perfect religion. but is part of a much bigger picture.

But, spoken word is also up to the listeners interpretation. IF you didn't see the same message in it that I did I can't blame you. It just has to do with how we interpret things
