Hi guys im a noob when it comes to computers, I want to add another hardrive and SSD to my desktop there is one molex plug free at the moment(so I will buy a molex to sata converter) however the free molex plug is connected to a side fan - the female end I suppose is pluged into the power supplies molex direct if that makes sense then the empty side is empty, is it ok to plug a molex to sata adapter into this its not gona blow or anything?

cheers mate Ive repped you, just one other question if you know the answer I have an old 500GB hardrive from a dell computer that I want to add to my new rig, however it doesnt fit in the bays - its got like a blue plastic covering that looks like it can be unscrewed? have dell just put that on so it fits in their case? i can unscrew that with out damaging the drive and fit it in to my new case - its just like a blue plastic casing.

cheers again

if it can be unscrewed it can be manipulated, however if its not ment to be dismantled dont do it as you can corrupt your hard drive and lose your data, i advise you take the hard drive to your logo PC world or what ever and ask them to obtain the infomation with in the drive and take a portable drive or any other portable storage device
