Well I haven't really read anything about this but I am hearing that they are trying to pass something to take gun rights away, it will help the shootings? Well I'm only 15 but honestly. I think it won't because all the criminals will just have the guns they don't register them anyway. Then the people like us good citizens will all be screwed. Why would they do that take away OUR protection for our houses and family.
I'm scared of what this world has become and what it is becoming. Like jeez, I think Obama is dumb but everyone has there opinion

There are plenty of other ways to protect your self. If you think that the only way to live and protect is through guns, then you are a child. And you must understand, those "Criminals" are not good enough to be classified as one. 90% do not even know how to use one and can injure 4 to 5 other people before hitting their own target who is standing still. Until people realize that guns dont run a civilization, then they are all counted as children.

America is basically becoming a giant police state. Without guns, we are easier to keep in place. A TV show just came on that looked very familiar to what I see the future like (besides the flying cars.) It's called Continuum. The first episode for 5-10 minutes, A Stitch In Time, shows a least a general idea of where we are headed. First it's semi-autos. Then it will be pistols. Once they are all gone, and once our police and army are armed to the teeth, the government will basically be controlling us. Anything they say will have to be the way we live. Either we stop them from taking the guns, or we could potentially head towards away from a democracy and into something a lot worse.

I think it's a something bigger. The US has been buying a bunch of hollow point rounds I think 450 million to be exact. Now why do they need all those bullets and don't tell me it's for the military because I guarantee only a few bullets are going to military or maybe none of them are. A hollow point round does some serious damage to people and things because when the bullet impacts the tip of the bullet is cut into so whatever it gets shot into get stuck in the hole causing it to expand about 3 times the bullet size.

And if we continue along this path of paranoia, we will live a far worse life that the one you predicted.

They arnt taking everything away, just "assault weapons" (i dont know exactly, im going off the top of my head) the weapons include the good ole' AR15. also from what ive heard the ban also encompasses M1 garands and M1 carbines (kinda odd in my opinion). they are also putting a law for magazines being only able to hold 10 rounds (im 50/50 on this), also you will have to have a background check when you buy a gun from a gun show (that i agree with)

you have a great point about criminals not registering guns, in fact (obviously) they dont care about laws so they will still have their AK's and AR's. but do realize with the school shooting that it wasn't a criminal but a mentally ill person. so my question is why ban the gun when you could maybe help out the department that helps keep mentally unstable people in check?

I also wanna point out the stigma/scaryness people have put on the AR15. it seems like they put this on it because it looks modern and is used by our militaries. i dont really get it (and i find it hard to describe my opinion on it, i just find it weird). But the AR15 is the Corvette/Ferrari of the gun world, in my eyes banning assault rifles is the same thing as saying people cant buy the top sports cars because they kill people. its the stigma people have around this gun that makes them want to ban it (in my opinion)

well that all i can think of right now. lol. hopefully you learn something

I don't know and like I said I'm 15 so I was just saying what I though and in the actually document for it it states all guns not assault rifles. Either way its retarded to get rid of any of them and I've also never heard about the 450 million hollow point rounds being bought..
