I don't think mixed themes looks dumb, I've got my name in one of four Japanese writing styles katakana in memory of my time in japan on my leg and confederate flag on my arm.

There's only three Japanese writing styles, Hiragana, Katakana, and Kanji.

Also, OP, if you're worried about what people will think, don't get a tattoo. It's for you to enjoy.

Apparently you don't know bout gonakana which is a combination of hiragona and katakana, its not much used but is still used

I'm sure it would exist on Google or Wikipedia.

I'm just gonna say that the helmet would look stupid when you are married, or have a girlfriend. The preamble to the constitution and the name would be fine though.. just my opinion

i will be honest with you, don't get a helmet and don't get a name... gettin someones name is bad luck getting your own name is dumb... why? well you are not going to forget your name are you? and if you get it in japanese people are just going to say to you what does that say!
unless you have a connection in japan then its a nice thought to get but in my own opinion names are dumb to get and that helmet just isint nice, if your wanting a tattoo get something that symbolizes something? or build up to getting a sleeve just don't get random things you will regret it.

TTG_SamTheMan wrote Hello TTG. Now if there are people on here with multiple tattoos I have a question, and I need your opinion. I want to get my name in Japanese on my right tricep. I also want a spartan (300 not halo) helmet on my right upper arm/shoulder area and also the preamble of the us constitution on my right chest. Do you guys think that all theses different themes would look dumb. and I know you guys are gonna be like "its what ever cause its your body" but I would like opinions... Thanks TTG

No tattoo is dumb bro unless you think they are. Get the trace were you want it and just see what you think before. Ive got R.I.P Grandma on my kneck. People say its a dumb place because its usually on arms, legs etc. But i think its ok. Forget what other people think

Stick to one theme mate.

Mixing will look stupid.

I have half sleeve japanese koi carp on my left arm.

My advice you can get both but stick to one theme for one side of your body and another theme for the other my cousin has greek mythology on his right sleeve and then on the other is classic japanese/oriental they go together well you just have to make sure you seperate them.
