the CPU is pretty old but still good enough for BF3, fast rendering and such.

Here's what i would change:
CPU: I'd change that to an intel cpu, mainly because of future upgrades, intel will have a better CPU selection (Intel core i5, i7, etc) where as AMD (from what i've heard) is about to release a new line which will require a different socket, so you'd have to replace your motherboard and the CPU
Power supplY: The antec vp-450 will do just fine, however you'll probably be making upgrades, so I'd change it to a rosewill hive 550 (which is a modular power supply, really helps with cable management!)
GPU: while the 7750 is pretty good, if you can spare a bit more, get the 7770! [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]

It's AM3+ that will have another release, not 1155.

OP, if you're going AMD, go for the current generation at this point. The FX 6300 and 8320 / 8350 are very good. If [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] is your motherboard, it's incredible for the price. It has a quality 4+1 phase VRM with "doubling" that makes it behave like an 8+2 phase VRM as well as a heatsink. These features make it overclock extremely well and safely (unlike many AMD boards out there that will either fail or throttle). Also, Newegg pricing makes 1TB drives far more economical than 500GB drives and you should get a Corsair CX430 or Antec VP-450 PSU.

Good combo for you: [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]
If you buy today, this is a sweet deal: [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]

Then I understood wrong, I took it as they will be having a whole new socket and what not released.
