I hate them not because they are expensive but because some rapper started using them and now everyone does you can't even walk into my school without seeing people with studios around their necks blasting rap music and making fun of the people who don't have them(like me I use whatever headphones I get at the local rite aid)

With all of that aside they aren't even as good as they make them seem they are like any normal over the head headphones, you just paying for the logo on the side.

I use them to listen to music
Payed 75% off of retail
I don't wear them everywhere without the cord even in like a tool.
I couldn't care less what the site "expert" has to say
Your false sense of authority means nothing to me.
I think it is funny how bad of a rap beats get. (punny I know)
I understand they are endorsed by terrible musicians. And that most people are stupid enough to waste hundreds of dollars on them for a designer headband.
But then you realize that the sound is good.
I'm willing to bet that if you stripped away the brand and did a blind sound test, your opinions would change.
They are loud. And block out the world around me. That is all I care about.

I understand where you are coming from with this but I honestly for one don't care about the quality it all seems the same to me and yes I've used beats before it doesn't make one bit a difference to me because music is music too me

Beats are a overrated waste of money, if you buy them for the sound, there are so many better quality headphones out there. I like apple headphones so I don't look like a major tool walking around listenin to music.

75% off retail for fakes is still too much.

Nobody accused you of wearing them like that, but that's how people tend to use these things.

False sense of authority? I've been making the same points in my posts about Beats since I joined TTG. The badge, post count, rep power, or people with their hype (which I don't appreciate and honestly wish they would stop) have absolutely nothing to do with the content of my posts.

If you don't care what experts have to say I guess you don't need to visit the doctor. Claiming an expert opinion is invalid because it contradicts yours is pretty arrogant.

Beats get a bad rap because they're bad headphones and people that like to make good decisions are aware of that.

It doesn't matter what musician endorses them. Their endorsement has nothing to do with the quality of the headphone. If Dre endorsed something like the Audeze LCD-2, it wouldn't make them any worse because it's nothing but a marketing ploy. I hate 2 Chainz but I'd still buy the Ultrasone Pro 900s if they were the YOLOChainz SwagBlaster 420s.

The sound is pitiful for the price. Of course they'll sound better than the garbage you find in most Best Buys like the Klipsch Image One, low-end Sennheisers, etc., though. That means nothing.

You may not realize this, but if you look at people's reactions back when Beats first debuted, they REALLY wanted to like them: [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]

I've heard the Beats myself, of course, and I'm not just hopping on the hate train because it's the "in" thing to do. I've compared these side by side with other headphones and drawn my own conclusions, which is something I've found that people who defend Beats have not done or refuse to do. Bias is stupid and any self-respecting audiophile will know this. If Beats were good headphones, we'd treat them like they were. Nobody cares where the headphone came from as long as it delivers.

If you wanted headphones that actually have effective noise cancellation you should have made a different choice. Other headphones sound better, isolate noise better (this is measurable, not to mention the awful hiss the Beats ANC has). If it's all you care about, that, again, makes the Beats a bad decision for you.

EDIT: Guys, stop hyping my posts. If you want me to respond to a Beats thread or something, PM me the link and I probably will. Don't post about me posting.

Cynic wrote People don't like what they can't afford
They see them as a status symbol
I have a pair of blue studios. I'm in the minority that bought them for the sound. Were they retail price? No. Are they fake? Probably
I don't care. They were $70, they sound legit
Everyone when they see them are like ERMUHGERD BEATS SUCK EBJGEIOCEWIN but then run around with skullcandies on
I bought them because they are loud and they cancel out noise.
So. /rant

I can afford to buy the entire Beats line, I just prefer to have good headphones. I've only heard this a few hundred times on TTG and it's incredibly conceited and stupid.

Headphones are not fashion accessories. Get it through your head. If you want them to be, buy $10 knock-offs and be happy you only wasted that much to look goofy.

Beats isolate as well as any other average closed headphone and the active noise cancelling is inferior to other headphones with ANC.

Cynic wrote I have a pair of Sennheisers and noise cancelling Bose. I'm a bass junky. I prefer Beats because of this. Yes the sound quality is the exact same as the real ones, I'm just not dumb enough to pay full price. My chinese "knock offs" were bought direct from the manufacturer. Don't act like you know more because you have a different preference. My problem is with the swagfags that get their panties in a bunch because I have them. I was talking about what I see everyday, not on this site. I couldn't care less what the site has to offer on what real headphones are because the internet is the place to go to get affirmation for your beliefs right? No. Music is preference and I don't care about the people that are convinced that their taste is better because they get offbrand hard ons.

If you're a bass junky you should get headphones with good bass. Beats Studios have literally no sub-bass. When I say none, [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] Beats are also far from the bassiest headphones out there.

Low-end Sennheisers are mediocre at best and Bose headphones are terrible for the price. You have no reference to claim your fake Beats sound good. If you wanted to buy headphones for sound, you should have bought real headphones.

Yes, music is preference. By that logic, you could tell me you've sampled EVERY sound signature from competing headphones and preferred the Beats. There is a better headphone for any music preference, period.

Off-brand, right. You must not know a whole lot about your own Beats if you're going to pull that one.

Cynic wrote I hope so too. He'll drop some earth shattering wisdom upon me and I'll pretend to get mad and all the people that commented above will get a smug sense of self satisfaction. Aaaaaaaand go.

You're just baiting us with a topic we won't resist. I've been through this countless times and it's always the same. OP feels the need to post to try to justify his poor decision, gets his panties in a bunch (trying to cover it up, of course), tries to logic, cannot into logic, panties bunch even tighter, realizes his argument was never there, ragequits.

Well, i think we can safely say that OP's argument is null now lol.

I actually just don't like you because you bashed the pair of Sennheiser's I bought a long while back before anyone cared about your opinion. I don't like how you're the all knowing expert on everything sound when it is subject to opinion. Your arrogance about my arrogance is arrogant. I don't understand what is "pitiful" about the sound honestly. My original argument was poorly phrased and aimed at the people that only hate them because they can't afford them. I see this everyday, not on the internet because for the love of god everyone hates them here apparently, while just walking around. Step into a high school with a pair of beats on and see the comments you get. If I could get the kick-a$$ pair of noise cancelling Bose headphones I will, but until then, I see absolutely nothing wrong with my beats.
