I have a pair of blue studios. I'm in the minority that bought them for the sound. Were they retail price? No. Are they fake? Probably
I don't care. They were $70, they sound legit
Everyone when they see them are like ERMUHGERD BEATS SUCK EBJGEIOCEWIN but then run around with skullcandies on
I bought them because they are loud and they cancel out noise.

So. /rant

Both Skullcandies and Beats are $30 worth of audio and they are complete sh*t.

Beats are basically overwhelming boomy lows sh*t mids and sh*ttier highs

Skullcandies are shit all the way around.

I honestly think they're are decent headphones, I have a pair of pros. I just do not think they're worth the money.

You know, I'm simple. I buy the two dollar iPod earbuds and I'm happy. I can listen to my music, videos or games that I maybe playing on my laptop. Then again I rather not waste money on HEADPHONES. I don't care what brand you're defending, spending that much on a pair of earphones is beyond ridicules.

I drive a 1997 Volvo 850 I was able to get from a family friend for $500. It's got about $1000 of work and new parts in it to make it do what I need it to. I could say I don't see the point of buying a fun project Nissan or Subaru and spending huge amounts of time fixing it up or shelling out for a high-end sports car. But that would be ridiculous, right? Everyone knows they'd like a nice car. The problem with what you're saying is that you don't understand our hobby because you probably haven't tried it. Don't knock something you don't understand and, believe it or not, people will like things you don't like.

I never said I liked them or not but, okay. Now, how did we get to comparing cars to headphones? You can drive a car, those are useful and can be worth the money. But you can't drive a headphone, which is why I'm saying it's ridicules for even spending that much just to listen to wubs or whatever you crazy kids listen to nowadays.

My point is that just because you don't see the value in something doesn't mean you can knock it. My point with that car is that my cheap old Volvo wagon can accomplish the same task as any car but you wouldn't say buying a more expensive car is "beyond ridiculous." I'm a music enthusiast and I like to enjoy my music at a high-level of quality. Yes, it's a luxury purchase, but so is food that's more than bread, water, and nutrition pills. Also, don't make assumptions about what music I listen to.

My personal opinion. You may not see it as pointless, but I do. Leave it as that.

I respect your opinion and realize that some people don't care to spend more on headphones even after they have tried good ones. This neither bothers me nor surprises me. But this condemns and puts down others' opinions:

I don't care what brand you're defending, spending that much on a pair of earphones is beyond ridicules.

You can't demand that people respect your opinions when you don't respect theirs.

I can afford to buy the entire Beats line, I just prefer to have good headphones. I've only heard this a few hundred times on TTG and it's incredibly conceited and stupid.

Headphones are not fashion accessories. Get it through your head. If you want them to be, buy $10 knock-offs and be happy you only wasted that much to look goofy.

Beats isolate as well as any other average closed headphone and the active noise cancelling is inferior to other headphones with ANC.

Cynic wrote I have a pair of Sennheisers and noise cancelling Bose. I'm a bass junky. I prefer Beats because of this. Yes the sound quality is the exact same as the real ones, I'm just not dumb enough to pay full price. My chinese "knock offs" were bought direct from the manufacturer. Don't act like you know more because you have a different preference. My problem is with the swagfags that get their panties in a bunch because I have them. I was talking about what I see everyday, not on this site. I couldn't care less what the site has to offer on what real headphones are because the internet is the place to go to get affirmation for your beliefs right? No. Music is preference and I don't care about the people that are convinced that their taste is better because they get offbrand hard ons.

If you're a bass junky you should get headphones with good bass. Beats Studios have literally no sub-bass. When I say none, [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] Beats are also far from the bassiest headphones out there.

Low-end Sennheisers are mediocre at best and Bose headphones are terrible for the price. You have no reference to claim your fake Beats sound good. If you wanted to buy headphones for sound, you should have bought real headphones.

Yes, music is preference. By that logic, you could tell me you've sampled EVERY sound signature from competing headphones and preferred the Beats. There is a better headphone for any music preference, period.

Off-brand, right. You must not know a whole lot about your own Beats if you're going to pull that one.

Cynic wrote I hope so too. He'll drop some earth shattering wisdom upon me and I'll pretend to get mad and all the people that commented above will get a smug sense of self satisfaction. Aaaaaaaand go.

You're just baiting us with a topic we won't resist. I've been through this countless times and it's always the same. OP feels the need to post to try to justify his poor decision, gets his panties in a bunch (trying to cover it up, of course), tries to logic, cannot into logic, panties bunch even tighter, realizes his argument was never there, ragequits.

1. People buy beats for the bass and the looks
2. You did buy fake blue studios
3. To see if there fake compare your beats to these

4. Beats have great bass, but a little to much bass to where it drowns out the mids, highs, and lows of a song.
5. Do you think you got real beats for $70...LoL
6. Beats Are Very over priced
7. I can talk as much shit as want because i own a pair of beats by dre ;)

There is much more behind it than not wanting to spend the money. That sounds so dumb and idiotic I can't even explain it. I can find a pair of headphones as good as or even better for for a lower price. It is much like the Apple Production of Laptops. FOr Christmas I got an ASUS Laptop, cannot remember exact name, but with specs of 750GB HDD and 8GB Ram, i7 Processor, for under $700. It's an outstanding laptop; where as I could have got the same thing from Apple with an Apple symbol on the side for hundreds of dollars more.

That is the secret behind it, when you buy Beats all your paying for is the b on the side. Not to mention how poorly made Beats are.

I'm not demanding people to respect it. I said what I think. I wasn't aware I wasn't allowed to post what I viewed it as.

Are you one of the guys who use Beats as a scarf? And just keep it round your neck because it looks cool?

If you are I suggest you sell your beats and get a pair of iPod headphones as they are good quality and loud.

:]
