jvand63 wrote Why would it be downgrading? And this is for my second computer

6950s scale extremely well and two of them would perform as well as or better than a single 7970. Unless you're having huge issues with microstuttering or compatibility, do yourself a favor and wait until the next generation of cards to upgrade. I do agree that single-card setups are much more ideal, but there's just no sense in making this upgrade unless you're getting those issues. Have you overclocked the 6950s? There's an upgrade you can do for free.

Yes I have overclocked them to 6970 but what I'm asking is what card would I get for a second computer that I am making for a friend

Oh, in that case the 7970 is a far better option than the 680. What are the rest of the parts?

Or you could go with the Coolermaster HAF 912.
Great case

I'll add to that. The HAF 912 is a great case; I'd definitely recommend getting this.

I don't at its current price.

$10 more gets you the Fractal R4, which is just SO GOOD. I wasn't blown away by the 912 when I built my friend's rig in it. The Zalman Z9 has a pretty side window, four fans, and a black painted interior for less. Personally I hate the design, but it's not my money and a lot of people do like it.

Just adding an opinion. You have to admit that it looks pretty cool, and the airflow isn't all that bad.
