Performance wise, it's a great phone, especially the camera on it. It all comes down to if you're going to like the O/S or not - from what I heard, you either love it or hate it but there's no doubt the marketplace needs improving. Be happy, especially if you get the sleek grey/red colour!

As Generation said above me, the phone internals are pretty spiffy. As far as the OS, I've been a WP user since the Focus 1 (currently rocking Focus 2). All friends that I've gotten to convert to WP have loved it, but be warned, if going from an iOS device or especially Android, you'll feel a bit naked without the features. No screencapping, flash player, etc. The marketplace is pretty "meh" by this point. It's without a doubt getting better than it started, but is still lightyears behind the other 2. The reason I love WP is because I enjoy simplicity in phones, and not having extra stuff that I'll never use (I'm looking at YOU iPhone). I hope you like your 920, I may pick it up when my At&T contract ends!
