Also Nintendo would need to be the one to make the Pokemon MMORPG not Blizzard or anyone else.

I have also played PokeMMO, decently fun if you're still into it. I'm waiting for it to be complete before I continue though.

I tried it out yesterday, I don't really enjoy that... I feel like it is just pokemon that I could be playing on my gameboy... Maybe I didn't give it enough time but I dunno...

I would love this and honestly, if you didn't enjoy pokemon as a kid, your childhood sucks.

I'm 19 years old, full time college student and work on my off days to pay off my 2009 honda civic that i bought myself (not bragging in any way) solely bought a nintendo ds to play the newer generation pokemon games.

I grew up on Yellow, Red, Blue and still play them to this day on my original gameboy from when I was about 7.

I own:
- Red
- Blue
- Yellow
- Ruby
- Diamond (2; one game inside the ds i bought off eBay)
- Pearl (2;lost my original but found it in a drawr in my room)
- White
- Black 2

Age has nothing to do with playing pokemon, the game's amazing and to the OP, I'd go out and buy this.

I agree with everything here, I grew up playing pokemon, and that's why I want to see a professionally made Mmorpg version of it. I feel like it would be one of, if not the best mmorpg in my opinion.

Thank you, but my only thing is I don't wanna dish out the type of money that it would cost me to play WoW. I'm not hating on it, I just don't wanna spend over $30 to play a game I had to spend money on to get in the first place.

Yes, that would most likely be the biggest problem about it.. is that it would cost a lot of money to run

Yeah, I mean it's bad enough that I'm paying yearly for xbox live, then new games when they come out, plus all the DLCs for them if it's a game I play a lot. I dropped 80 on mw2, 80 on black ops, 130 on mw3, and now 130 on BO2 plus i just got halo 4 a couple weeks ago and it's getting to be a lot.

Yeah, Xbox can become expensive if you buy all the DLC's and such! But I really wouldn't mind paying another monthly payment if it was for this. I think it would be soooo fun

I think this is a nice idea, however there would have to be a lot of changes to the game to make it an enjoyable experience for the players while giving the company a good profit from the game.

You need to remember that companies need to make money, that's why free to play games have cash shops (not saying this should be F2P). MMOs have a lot of aspects that need to be taken into account, like running costs and profit projection before they even start developing games. A pokemon MMO could be quite risky as the pokemon community has a range of people. There are a lot of older people like you playing, however there will be a lot of younger people wanting to play the game also, and as the internet community goes this could escalate into problems.

I'm not against this at all but i don't believe this could turn into a successful game as the idea stands.

Thanks for the input! As you said, it would have a lot of changes from the original game... But I still think the whole concept would be really cool! I tried out that Pokemon-World one and I thought it was just like playing my Gameboy. I feel like the changes that would be made, would be made to make it more enjoyable. You are right about the game costing a lot of money, but I think that they would make it have a monthly payment; And I think a lot of people would pay it. But you're right, with the vast range of people that would play it, they would need to make it more children friendly, which would probably be less appealing to the older people of the community. Maybe they could have like different world or something?
