You dont need your retial nand, you can just as easily build from your existing rgh nand just put your ldv up 1 before takign teh retail update.

your updated +1 ldv rgh nand wont boot after you flash it until you update your retial side.

This goes for all future stock nand updates, it goes up by 1 each time you do a system kernel update.

-Mafia5K- wrote Your supposed to update it on live as with any dual nand console.

You will need to put your stock nand up +1 LDV before you update, this way when your retial updates it on its own your rgh side will match and boot up correctly.

(anyone using a TX demon should ignore this as it doesnt need LDV adjusted when you update)

The-Kush-Ops wrote if my ldv for my rgh is 4 what do i put it to?retail dash (14719)

+1 = would be 5 for the ldv So build your rgh nand with ldv of 5.

Next, your stock nand is also currently 4, Therefore after you update it via xbox live it will become 5...... see where i am going with this? Once its doen updating, switch back to rgh and make sure it boots if it doesnt then either you didnt make your ldv 5 or you did something else wrong.

You dont need to do this in this order if you have a nand flash, you could just update then dunmp your stock nand and use that to build your rgh nand as it will have the ldv set to 5 already and will work the same... the other method is for those who dont have a flasher to use for this.

This has always been in effect as it prevents downgrading, rgh needs to match retial for it too boot up.

RGH nand shouldnt boot up after you put the rgh nands ldv up to 5. You didnt sucessfully update your rgh image's ldv.

Your not supposed to mess with your stock nand at all just sign it on live and update it after you changed your RGH nand LDV to 5.

You didnt change the LDV to 5.

Use J-Runner, select edit LDV then change it to 5, then Confirm it....Create the image.

Once it is flashed it wont boot until you update your stock nand.

The update error on your stock nand could be becuase you have no storage device or maybe its something to do with your drive firmware, im not too sure.
