I thought I should share with you guys probably one of the best Halo Modding Tools right now, Liberty. The program itself is 100% free and installation is very easy and doesn't require much work to actually use the tool. Liberty includes Modding Support for Halo 3, Halo 3: ODST, Halo CEA, Halo: Reach, and the newly released, Halo 4! I did not create this tool, so I give full credit to Amd, Xerax, and Thunder Waffle! The only thing I am doing is trying to get it more out there and share it with you guys so you could share it with others!

Tutorial on using the Program



Using this tool is very simple, I will quickly demonstrate. So first of all you're going to need a Gamesave, so go on Halo 4, start the mission you'd like to Mod, then Save and Exit. Once done go to your Dashboard --> System Settings --> Storage --> Games --> Halo 4 --> Saved Game (Should be roughly 11 or 12MBs) --> Move to USB Device (USB Device should be configured)

Once that's finished move your USB back onto PC and open Liberty, then select the second option as shown below and continue on -

You should now be able to see your USB Drive listed, if it isn't then try plugging it into a different slot in your Tower and/or close any other FATX Programs like Horizon -

Now select the Gamesave you just added onto your USB Device, it should be listed on there, below is my halo 4 Saved Game -

It should now display which mission you're on as well as the difficulty, once everything seems correct then continue on with the process

This part is where the Modding comes into play, simply check the Enable Player (and vehicle) invincibility and now move on -

Our next screen is where you could get Unlimited Ammo, it will show the two weapons you currently have, as well as their ammunition. Click max next to them to max out them both out. The other weapon editors are currently unavailable right now for Halo 4 so you'll just have to ignore it for now -

If you want grenades maxed out like your Frag, Plasma, or Pulse then this screen is for you, just click MAX next to which grenades you want and it'll give you 127 Grenades -

Now you could create a backup on the next screen if you're worrying about it messing up, and then could exit the program!

FAQ


Halo 4 Related
Q. If I use this Tool will I get Banned?
A. Chances are you won't, many people have done this and very little have actually gotten banned, try not to boast about you modding this and you'll be fine.

Q. Is it possible to get the Master Chief Armor by using this?
A. Yes, I've done and so can you!

Q. Will Co-op work?
A. No

Q. By using this, will I have to re-mod every mission after I complete it?
A. Yes

Liberty Related
Q. When I put my Halo 4 Gamesave in, Liberty won't read it?
A. Be sure that it's your Gamesave that you used. It should be about 11 or 12 MBs NOT the Halo 4 Data File which is about 80KB, that's not the right one.

Q. When i try to load a save from my USB, it says it can't detect any FATX Devices?
A. If you have a program like Horizon or USB XTAF open then close those then try it out, if it doesn't try running it as Admin or restarting your PC.

Q. How come I can't open up Liberty?
A. Make sure you extracted Liberty and its three other files correctly as well as .NET Framework 4. If you are sure that you have those checked then run the program as Administrator and/or re-download Liberty.

It's a Campaign editor, its not really going to ruin the game at all since you aren't ruining others' experience.

Yes, you will have to re-mod after every mission, good thing there are only about 8 of them so you won't have to do it much. As for it getting you banned, its unlikely, just don't boast about it.

Thanks for this Tutorial. Will probably be using this on legendary to get the Master Chief armor.

It took me less than a day to complete the campaign on Legendary by my self. It's not that hard.

I've seen many posts like this on other forums, and most people are getting banned,
glitched to where they can't load back a checkpoint, can't continue to story line, because the editor corrupter their save, et cetera. I would use this at your own risk.
