It is hard to hear on split screen, but from what I can hear Awareness does counter Dead silence.

Yup Hc SnD will suck in this game i just know it. Sitrep pro screwed up SnD in MW3. Everyone just sat in corners and waited for you.

No, there aren't any challenges that I can see, as you can't be promoted on local.
