1.8 Ruined my world

got the 1.8 update today and i was happy, new blocks, items things to do.
so i fly towards my house and see all of the chests are **** up, all blacked out and glitched inside walls, so i fix them for around half an hour, to then find half of the biomes in my map have been transformed into snow biomes, the colour of the grass is horrible, and when it snows it full **** my town/city up. i built it in the exact spot because it was flat and i build things themed, i had a desert a normal city and a snow island (which now isnt even a snow biome). my harbour is **** as all of the water has turned into ice. the desert city is 1/4 covered in snow and my normal city is 3/4 full of snow.
so, has this happened to anyone else?

Sorry but that's the game, it seems like a quick fix though apart from somethings.

hhm fair enough if the game had 'seasons' but now most of my map is full of snow and ice

You could start a new world?, you should be able to quickly rebuild everything on creative.

Yes,1.8 **** up my chests too. But also,every time I try to load my old world,it freezes my xbox after a few seconds. So, I was forced to make a new world.

unlucky mate...
1.8 has ruined minecraft for me, i was looking foward to adding new building using new blocks, but now theyll be covered in snow so theres no point
