once you finnish the tutorial and are able to free roam look for the minecart. Use the mine cart (if you want to) to get over the bridge. once across the bridge there will be a well go down to the bottom of the well and there will be a room with a chest hope i helped you guys out

if you go in the building behind the tutorial in one of the rooms, there is a hidden lever that opens a portal to the nether
