Thank you i need help with making this website im doing i would like to know how to make some attractive looking buttons along the top of my webpage using html code?

If you post your site and the code you have we can give you some help with it and tell you what you need to change. As for the layout its one of those things it depends what you like. I personally am shocking at graphics and site design. I always ask someone for ideas :p So, the best thing is either play with ideas see what goes well or ask a more graphically minded person.

If so, the top image is either an image with a link. Or its a div styled with a brown background color and text centered in the div. The menu is the ul and li elements styled.

The best thing for you to do would be to find a nice tut on html and css. From there follow that and you will pick up the skills needed to create this and more! At the moment you are trying to run before you can walk. If I give you the code it may work, however you won't learn. If you learn how css and html works then you can do it and make it exactly how you want. If you follow their tuts however it will eventually show you the code to do that design. So if you do that then soon you will be able to make that.
