Like the title said, I'm looking to buy a laptop good for gaming. I was originally looking at alienwares but they are hugely overpriced from what I heard and you're paying more for the logo than the actual laptop if you know what I mean. Well, I stumbled upon this; [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] (I was looking at buying the second version for $1,049) it fits my budget of around $1,000 perfectly and to my understanding has good specs. So my question for you, TTG, do you think this looks like a good laptop for gaming and everyday use like web browsing ect.? And if not, do you know of any better laptops around the same price of 1,000? Also before posting, I am not interested in a desktop and I am not interested in building my own. So please don't comment suggesting either of those also I want to be able to play games like skyrim and battlefield with 0 lag and high graphic settings (also TES: Online when it eventually comes out) thanks TTG!

When I was talking about max settings I was talking about the highest quality settings in skyrim. And what do you mean buy it with your own money? I am going to buy it with my own money and I want a laptop because I already have a desktop

The dell GPU's they put in are absolute garbage. It probably has integrated graphics. You will never get low settings on Skyrim

agreed. I am on a Dell right now and the onboard graphics are terrible for gaming, it's still a nice laptop, but the problem with laptop rigs is that they get outdated too fast because they don't take to upgrades well, you could run an external gpu if you don't plan on moving the lappy but I would just as soon get a desktop

The one I'm looking at has a 2GB performance graphics card, which according to a google search isn't bad. Is that still considered garbage? And thanks for the help btw, I'll +rep you and the guy under you

Erm, no. Every video card out there (besides the MS-DOS ACIIs) supports full HD 3D graphics. It's just to make their processors sound superior to AMD A-series, which they are not.
