Races

Guild Wars 2 has five races those are Asura, Sylvari, Human, Norn, and Charr.

Asura

Diminutive Mystical Scientists
They may be short in stature, but these magical inventors are intellectual giants. Incredibly intelligent beings, the asura use their knowledge and skill with magic and crafting to assert their natural dominance. In the world of the asura, it is not the strong who survive, but the clever. Other races believe they should rule by virtue of their power and strength, but they delude themselves. All will serve the asurain due time...

Sylvari

Mysterious, Noble Plant Beings
Sylvari are not born. They awaken beneath the Pale Tree with knowledge gleaned in their pre-life Dream. These noble beings travel, seeking adventure and discovery. They struggle to balance curiosity with duty, eagerness with chivalry, and warfare with honor. Magic and mystery entwine to shape the future of this race that has so recently appeared.


Human

A Noble, Resilient People.
Humans have lost their homeland, their security, and their former glory. Even their gods have withdrawn. And yet, the human spirit remains unshaken. These brave defenders of Kryta continue to fight with every ounce of their strength.


Norn

Towering Heroes from the North
This race of towering hunters experienced a great defeat when the Ice Dragon drove them from their glacial homeland. Nevertheless, they won't let one lost battleno matter how punishingdampen their enthusiasm for life and the hunt. They know that only the ultimate victor achieves legendary rewards.


Charr

A Savage Race of Conquerors
The charr race was forged in the merciless crucible of war. It is all they know. War defines them, and their quest for dominion drives them ever onward. The weakling and the fool have no place among the charr. Victory is all that matters, and it must be achieved by any means and at any cost.



Professions

Guild Wars 2 Has 8 Professions which are Mesmer, Guardian, Necromancer, Ranger, Elementalist, Warrior, Thief, and Engineer.

Mesmer

Mesmers are magical duelists who wield deception as a weapon. Using powerful illusions, clones, and phantasmal magic to confuse and distract their foes, mesmers make sure every fight is balanced in their favor and their opponents cant believe their eyes.


Guardian

Guardians are devoted fighters who protect their allies and smite their enemies by drawing from the power of their virtues. True guardians are brilliant tacticians and selfless defenders who know when to sacrifice their own defenses to empower their allies to achieve victory.

Necromancer

Practitioners of the dark arts, necromancers summon the dead, wield the power of lost souls, and literally suck the life force from the enemy. Necromancers feed on life force, which they can use to bring allies back from the brink or cheat death itself.


Ranger

Rangers rely on a keen eye, a steady hand, and the power of nature itself. Unparalleled archers, rangers are capable of bringing down foes from a distance with their bows. With traps, nature spirits, and a stable of loyal pets at their command, rangers can adapt to any situation.


Elementalist

Elementalists are multi-faceted spellcasters that channel elemental forces, making fire, air, earth, and water do their bidding. What they lack in physical toughness, they make up in versatility and the ability to inflict massive damage in a single attack.


Warrior

Warriors are masters of weaponry who rely on speed, strength, toughness, and heavy armor to survive in battle. Adrenaline fuels their offensive powerthe longer warriors stay in a fight, the more dangerous they become.


Thief

Experts at stealth and surprise, thieves can move through the shadows, vanish into thin air, or steal items from their opponents and use them as weapons. Thieves practice an agile, acrobatic fighting style, which can make them very hard to hit.


Enigneer

Masters of mechanical mayhem, engineers love to tinker with explosives, elixirs, and all manner of hazardous gadgets. They can take control of an area by placing turrets, support their allies with alchemic weaponry, or lay waste to foes with a wide array of mines, bombs, and grenades.

Waypoints

What is a Waypoint?
A waypoint, or a magi-matter-transportive device, is a floating stone marker that players can instantly travel to by using the map. In lore, it is an asuran creation.

Why can't I use a Waypoint I see?
Before a character can use a particular waypoint for map travel, it must be discovered through exploration. Locked waypoints will be displayed on the compass and map, and approaching the waypoint will unlock it for that character.

What does a waypoint look like?
In-Game

How many waypoints are there total?
There are 507 waypoints counting to world completion.

Are Waypoints free?
Map travel within a city is free, but travel to waypoints in other cities or the rest of the world costs a fee in coin based on the distance between the character's current location and the destination waypoint.


Vistas


What is a Vista?
A vista is an interactive object located in the world which triggers an associated cinematic.

How do I find one?
Vistas usually show up on the map when you discover an area. They may seem like easy XP but to get to them most of the time there is a jumping puzzle involved.

How many Vistas are there?
There is 266 vistas throughout the whole map.




Points of Interest


What is a Point of Interest?
Points of Interest are notable locations within the world of Tyria.

Do I have to buy them?
Easy answer No.

What does a Point of Interest Look Like?

How many Points of Interest are there?
There is 717 Points of Interest.



Skill Point Challenges

What is a skill point challenge?
A skill point challenge is a challenge placed on the map you have to beat to gain a skill point. These are optional.

What do they look like?

What do you get for completing them?
You get a skill point. Which you can put towards your skills.

How many Skill Challenges are there?
There's 202 Skill Challenges



Side Quest (Renown Hearts)

What is a Renown Heart?
Renown Hearts are basically side quest you can do for XP and Coin.

What do they look Like?

How many are there?
There is 232 Side Quest (Renown Hearts)

PvP

What is PvP?
PvP Stands for Player vs Player.
You face off against other players.

How do I Go to PvP
When in Game Press H to access your hero menu.
Next on the left side go all the way down till you see a sword.
Click that.

Why did my stuff disappear and why am I Level 80?
When you go to PvP you get PvP Gear. Don't worry your stuff is still with you but in the main world. When you enter PvP You are set to level so you get the health and skills.



WvWvW


What is WvWvW?
WvWvW is a PvP Gamemode where Three servers face off to claim the world, and resources.

How do I get to WvWvW ?
Press B and click the top bar and go to your desired battlegrounds.

How are the servers matched?
The servers are randomly picked.



Skills


What are Skill Points?
Skill Points are used to unlock skills.

Healing Skills
1st Profession is Free.
2nd Profession costs 1 skill point.
3rd Profession costs 3 Skill points.

Utility Skills
1st Profession costs 1 skill point.
2nd Profession costs 3 skill points.
3rd Profession costs 6 skill points.

Elite Skills
1st Profession costs 10 skill points.
2nd profession costs 30 skill points.

How do I get Skill Points?
You can do skill challenges, or you can get them by leveling up.



Traits


You unlock traits at level 11 you earn 1 point every time you level up. Which totals to 70 Points total.

You can spend trait points on attributes that help your character/hero.

You can reset Trait points at anytime by using a training manual or by paying 5 copper per point.

(This is skill being added to I have to make charts to show each Professions Attributes.)

WoW is a pretty good game but I think Guild Wars 2 is a bit better.
I've played wow for 4 years and I think it's good but there's something about Guild Wars 2 that makes it better.

Lawl, WoWs a good game... paying $15 a month, 7 month for a patch, so much to say yet I don't feel like explaining it. Guild Wars 2 eats WoW for breakfast.
