cheats wont work on mario kart

I have homebrew channel with gecko ect in there, I get the codes I want from one of the apps and it puts those codes into a file that gecko can read. when I launch mario kart from gecko and all is well and it says that it is running the cheat file with codes inside it but when i play an online game I get nothing, I have experimented with different cheats.

the place i get the cheats from is an app called accio_hacks

are you playing offline, some cheats dont work online .. but if they are for online then did you type the codes in right.. check this site for cheats they work all the time.. : [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] for mario kart cheats : [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]

MAKE SURE YOUR USING THE RIGHT REGION FOR THE CHEATS THAT MATCHES THE GAME. for EXAMPLE: i have a pal wii that plays the pal mario kart. So i get the cheats for the mario kart that has pal, P beside the cheats enjoy!
