burrow900 wrote Did you notice the higher FPS on the more demanding games like Dirt3 on high? The Bulldozer isn't even made for gaming, and it still performs pretty well. I even said, it's not as good as the i5, but it comes pretty near. Hell, it can run some engines better, I think it was the unreal engine that the FX outperforms the i5

You're correct in some aspects, and so am I. Intel generally out performs the AMD, but in certain engines, as you said, AMD performs better.

EDIT: Sorry for being rude, I'm tired.

If you have enough money to buy them all at once, then do that. You don't want to buy a few parts here and there because it would take forever for you to build (If that's what you're doing)

That's where this mix up is, I've said every time, the i5 is better. All I've been saying is that FX hangs in there. [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]

Two of them are full render score (The top two, and differ drastically in fps) bottom one is no render score (Same fps as the 2nd full render score). Don't know how well I described that.

Yeah, I just sorta skimmed through that. But like I said, this only shows that the FX series is, in the future, going to blow intel away. The i series has always gone slower with more pixels, the FX, goes faster with more pixels. As screen resolutions become higher and more standard, the FX will become more dominate. At this point in time though, nothing can touch the i7. AMD is just the way of the future. Not to mention how their APUs are going to be fantastic in about 5 years.

APUs are already great for budget PCs.

Ask that guy or Generation. He knows everything their is about computers

lol Generation that guy tries to bs most of what he knows. Doubt he even knows how to change the voltage for cards, or even knows how to use RivaTuner

But anyways, yes, get your parts all at once, look for bundles, they're more times than not, all compatible, and you get like 20-70 bucks off for just buying them in a bundle.

I know a lot more than you do and will ever know. It's not my fault I made you look like a coward.

Look like a coward? lol, we've already seen the benchmarks, hell there is a picture right above you. The FX is not a bad processor, not good, but not bad. And if you know so much, you would know that. Hell you tried to tell me that a 480 was a shit card before, at least I think it was you, idk I just woke up. If you think a 480 is a shit card, then you're just sad and a fan boy of whatever you buy.

You're right, it isn't bad, it's terrible and even the previous generation socket AM3 AMD 955 CPU's outbench it and if that does not say something I don't know what does. Thanks for pointing that one out, champ. The GTX 480 is a terrible card to buy right now and I've explained this to you before and showed you graphs that present it being insanely hot and very loud. I'm not a fanboy or stick with any company - I simply suggest whatever is the best thing you can buy for your dollar at the current time and that just so happens to be an i3-2100 / 2500k, an MSI Z77 / ASRock Extreme4, and a nice midrange card like a 7950 which would be found at $300 flat which is a steal.
