The topic below has some excellent points on why we can live forever
And the science behind it seems plausible
But if we do this and have "immortality" we will still not live forever, granted we will live for a very long time but not forever because our sun is getting bigger and bigger and eventually our planet will become too hot for life to live on also if that does not happen then another thing could
14 billion years ago our solar system was nothing the big bang happened and created ll life as we know it, our universe is expanding but eventually it will stop expanding and it will start shrinking when it gets down to the size of a pea it will continue to shrink into nothing and create an even larger 'big bang'
And that is why we can it live "forever"

By the time our sun becomes a super giant after burning up which would be millions of years time away we'd probably have better technology than star wars dude. Anyway interstealler flight FTW!!!

We can't live 'forever' because forever incorporates the past, present and future.
You cannot live before you were born.
Besides, eventually the Universe will stretch so far apart that the atoms and particles we are made of will be stretched millions of lightyears away from each other.

I doubt anyone will ever be immortal but if so, they can live foever. We can't stay on this world forever. Everyone knows this. The Sun will go out one day. If the human race is to survive, not only from the sun but from using up all of our resources as well, we have to have space travel. If we have that and know how to find other planets for resources, that immortal person will continue to live.

+If everyone could live forever then the population would grow to where you can not move on earth thus we would all just be standing around.

The theory that the universe will shrink back down isn't a proven fact, although it is possible, you can't say that it will happen for sure.
