I know but the reason this article is news is because the man had a mental illness and he wasn't thinking straight. I think the whole thing is complete sh*t because it's just stupid to shoot a man to death because he shot a plastic pellet at you. Actually, he didn't even do that, he just aimed at them and they all went chicken sh*t and shot him to death. This really saddens me that someone died because of a mental disability. It doesn't make any sense at all why the police would kill him when there was a dispatcher that could've told them. Unbelievable. That's just a show of carelessness for other human being's lives and when police are going around shooting people carrying air-soft guns you have to start to worry.

What happened to telling him to put down the weapon first? They should have just told him to put down the weapon, and they should have only started shooting if he shot. But either way he had a airsoft gun so F**k the police!

To everyone that is saying this guy was an idiot for pointing the gun at the cops, he was mentally ill and was just in a fight with his family. His family had called the police department earlier telling them about the situation, but the officers still shot him, which is ridiculous.

you guys really it does not matter if there crazy or not there still pointing a gun at the cops an airsoft guns some of them look real at a distance an those orange caps on the barrel come off easily cops are not at fault for feeling that they were not safe they warned him to put it down so they had no choice what if it was a real gun? an he shot the cops what abuot the cops family they go out there an put there lifes on the line for us evreyday.

will this help the situation of illegalizing fire arms :/

Pots wrote happens alot, the cops didnt know, so they are not in the wrong, if they state for you to put the gun donw you do so, or they have no choice but to shoot you so that you are not a threat to the public.

They didn't know that, you aren't going to walk up to a guy and check if his gun is real and loaded. If he has a gun, you are going to stop him.
