Warning for people doing this Normally Apple checks for developer IDs (UDID) on these betas and if this version isnt checking, next version may. The big problem it can be much harder (perhaps impossible) to roll back to a stable version of 5 if you are already using 6 and most importantly these betas expire after a few months as they roll out new ones (which there is no guaranttee of being easily installable as this one is.) Point being there is a decent chance you may brick your phone a month or two down the line if you try this. 19 views no posts wtf

Well yes and no, if you already have ios 6 beta on your idevice, your fine and you shouldn't need to worry about bricking. This beta will stay on your device until you upgrade or downgrade. The reason why we can install ios 6 beta without a UDID is because there is a glitch allowing us to do so. In the future if you try to do this with a beta, you will need a UDID.

So if you want ios 6 early install the beta now. Because in the future you wont have a early access without a UDID.

no you are wrong once beta two is out beta 1 will become disable on every I device that has it unless updated to beta2 so your device not work at all when beta two comes out

Apple cant do that, once the firmware is installed on a device it cant be removed and corrupt peoples devices.

this is what i was afraid of when i first did my 4s but it should be good it doesnt verify when i boot ive checked the files so i dont think there is much to worry about and im pretty sure apple wont make the betas expire as soon as a new one comes out that would be unreasonable

That why I paid 8$ on imzdl.com to get my UDID instantly registered on a developers account so I can get all future updates. I would recomend you guys to do this so if what he is saying is true, your device wont run in to problems.

This doesn't make ANY sense, unless Apple put a self-destruct sequence, for the device to expire on a date that hasn't been determined yet.

ahahahhahah wow didnt know someone was this dumb

you can NOT brick your phone by updating ever!
bricking you ipod is almost impossible it requires you to have a f***ed up ipsw which apple checks over and over to make sure its fine

now downloading from a 3rd party site may brick it as people can delete files that you need such as the restoring file or an apple license which is your own fault for tryin to act cool with ios 6

so please leave these forums and go post stuff on mw or whatever as you have no idea what bricking a phone truly means...

p.s. ios 6 is beta which means they are making it perfect.. developers need the newest ios to keep updating which mean they will not release something to developers that would brick their device.
