Okay, I'm switching from Xbox 360 to PS3. I know that PS3 gets DLC later and reads blu-ray. Do you have to pay to play online for PS3 like Xbox?

Look, you don't have to pay for online but ps3 has less perks then xbox. Like security, Dlc and no halo or whatever. But don't listen to others trying to talk you out of it because its all about opinion. If you like xbox thats great we don't need to here that you think ps3 is ****. Anyways I think getting a ps3 is a good idea with free online but the security if I were you don't put your Credit card on there!

I've got both and I play on my ps3 more than my xbox. Personally, I'd say it had better exclusives (other than Gears and Halo. I haven't put my card on though, because I simply haven't needed to. If you're buying it for communication and what not, with your friends, keep your xbox but if you want better games, get a ps3.

once you get the ps3, every online playability feature is free. You can buy playstation plus, which is about $17.99 for 3 months membership, and that grants you access to full FREE game downloads, discounts, and betas.

I think there are 7 or so free games for plus members, thats why i have it

No, but the servers get updated a lot more than Xbox and the servers will be down for some time and you can't play online. I think Xbox has better online service overall (not trying to start a console feud)
