I've seen a recent influx of these people lately on TTG.
They call themselves "Active Posters"
They have sometimes up to 1k+ posts in maybe a week.
People can claim that they're making useful posts, when really all they are is spam.
The people who are these, "Active posters" are always gold, have a lot of posts, and have a joined date less than a month ago.
You can look around in the general discussion and it won't take long to find one.

The main point is, these people spam. They don't structure topics, they just add to their post count.

The following 4 users thanked ItsFebreze for this useful post:

squidgy (06-12-2012), PickleJuice (06-12-2012), Blow (06-12-2012), G7G7S7 (06-11-2012)

To be 'active' you don't even need to have any posts in my opinion, you just need to be around and about. When I first joined I didn't post for about a month or two, but I lurked around the site reading tons of topics.

I do however see your point, and it is a shame when people strive to get thousands of posts per week, as it can end up as being completely useless.

I agree with your argument.

Quality over quantity.

It bothers me when I see users that have ever so many posts in a given time. Post count means nothing, and I have no idea how many times I have said that.
