~$850 after all rebates and promos

[ Register or Signin to view external links. ]
[ Register or Signin to view external links. ]

Over budget because at this point, going lower will result in big compromises. I'd have to step the graphics card or CPU + motherboard down a lot to get under budget. Still, ~$850 gets you some crazy awesome hardware. Unfortunately there's not a single good keyboard I can recommend under $65 at the moment because Newegg/Rosewill discontinued the glorious RK-800G and Microsoft jacked the Sidewinder X4 price all the way up to a very unreasonable $50. I'm forced to go generic here, not that I wanted to.

I understand you probably are not interested in paying this much and some of the rebates are not even worth bothering with. We can decide what cuts to make that will put you under budget while having the smallest possible impact on performance as possible, be it the CPU, motherboard, or CPU cooler (which is not necessary, but know that the CPU can be overclocked to 4.1 GHz which would make the cooler worth having).

Good thing you don't care about rebates, there's only one, and it's $5...
