EDIT: switched to the 692 and got the 128gb crucial m4. Total is at 1289.90

Never heard of that happening. HT can be turned off as well, but that completely negates the point of owning an i7 over an i5 n the first place. Even if you had the money, it would be better spent on an SSD or a higher-end graphics card.

I would. For this price, it's hard to beat. No worries at all with the circuitry itself and if you get a bad fan, no problem. It's very unlikely anyway.

The SSD can always be added later, too. They'll only get cheaper! But if you can afford one, I think they're a very good buy since they make a very noticeable difference in day-to-day stuff and programs/games will load much faster.

And that PSU you posted is bad. Those are the kinds of units that have given OCZ a bad name and they're too be avoided. Their good units are good, though!
