If I did this would they notice has anyone done this in the past? Thanks please post your experiences if you have any as I am thinking of doing this.

I've heard about people doing it and it seems to be fine as long as they don't test it or something

Don't banned xbox's only prevent you from going online with the xbox? If that's the case, most stores wouldn't know because they don't usually check to see if it goes online. Though if they do sell it or test it later in the future and and find out that its banned or not working how it should, they have your contact info and they are going to charge you. Because some stores have agreements where if you are trading in something, it has to be "working" or you are fined.

I'm not sure how banned xbox's work, but I wouldn't risk it.

They might power it on and use a test xbox live account "silver member" and see that it's banned and call the police for an invalid trade/payment, but otherwise good luck!

I guess when stores refurbish items, they have some ways of un-banning the consoles.

but then again if stores had some way of un-banning xboxes then I am pretty sure that it would be leaked on internet
