Whenever I close my disc drive with a game in it, it makes a weird noise and it just says "Open Tray" No matter what game too......Any help for this would be greatly appreciated.

The laser might be out of place.

This happened to me when my Xbox was closed but when I opened it it seemed to work perfectly.
Or you can just bang the top of it really hard.

I had that a while ago, it ended up being the laser. I had my console insured so it cost me nothing. I think micro-soft may charge.

They'll charge only if the Xbox's warranty expired.

Okay. This happened to me 2 weeks ago. What youll have to do is take it apart. Take apart the disc tray, and there will be two screws. turn them both slightly to the left. Then move the laser closer to the middle. Its called "OpenTrayError" Look it up on youtube and there are many tutorials on how to fix this problem. Good luck. It worked for me.

Heres a tutorial on what to do. You might want to also get a tutorial on how to take it apart.

[quote="Death_Wolf"]The laser might be out of place.[/quot

Should I open up my console and try to move it around?

Yeah. But be careful about moving the laser, try to move into the middle of the tray.

I would be careful if you're actually planning on opening your xbox and moving the laser because you can make it completely not work.

You could buy a new disc drive if you did mess it up or just don't want to move the laser.
