Hey everyone,
I've been working on this design lately for some course work and I was hoping I could get some feedback.

I have actually hand-coded (using Notepad++) the entire thing, the picture is just a screen capture, but I didn't wan't to release the code due to plaguerism.

For the best possible quality please save the photo and then view it.

I'll be repping anyone who can provide helpful feedback.
Thanks for reading.

UPDATE: After hearing that the left side is boring, I've halfed the spacing in between each article, looks a lot better now. Cheers guys. <3

I think it's really nice, I think the colours compliment each other really well.

For improvement you could add a search bar.

Thanks.
I don't see any need on this the page of the site, however I will take that into account if I do end up making a forum on this site.
+repped.

Looks good, but pretty plain if you get me? The left hand side looks boring. Suppose you could always add some social network logos such as: Facebook, Twitter, Youtube etc?

Just an idea!

Look on the right side. ;)

The big gaps are there because of the resolution on my monitor.
You should never make the mad width of a site more than 960px, otherwise people with older/small monitors won't be able to see the whole thing without scrolling, and that's a pain in the ass.
