I see quite a few topics around TTG about religion. I wanted to share my own view of it. I don't see the events in the bible to be things that actually happened, or that Jesus and god exist. But the way I think about it is that religion is just about making the right decisions and being a good person. For example, the story about Adam and Eve and the forbidden fruit. Some believe that actually happened. I think that its just a fabled story to teach a lesson. For example, the serpent in the garden tempting them to eat the fruit represented temptation, and the fruit represented evil. And the moral of the story was that humans must learn to resist evil temptations. And heaven and hell are just ways to keep people from doing bad things. And prayers are just a form of hope. Thats how I think about religion, comment what you think.

I do believe that there once was a person back in time that everyone looked up to and called him "God"
How someone can create the universe and the Earth, when it was already here before that guy, is beyond me.

My view is this,
1.) The earth and planets were started by the big bang.
2.) There is a higher power/authority (Possible Creator)
3.) No-one knows for sure and probably will never!

I actually, think about this topic a lot.
I always come to the conclusion that it's better to believe than not to.
I believe that the earth was here way before & that god didn't make it. I also believe in the devil, however I don't worship him, but I do respect him as I do god, but i'd rather go to heaven then hell, considering how everyone makes out hell, compared to heaven.
Just my opinion.

Religion is like a P*nis, it's ok to have one. but you don't just go around shoving it down everyone's throat. That's my opinion

The Adam and Eve story is a load of crap, Reason Being Adam and Eve had Two Children (Both Boys) Unless the Boys were Insest With There mother there is no other way. Being Insest is a Sin, Another example is that one of the boys went away and met someone and had children with her but the person he went away and met had to have a mother and her mothers mother and so on. There is so many errors in the bible it is unbelievable

You have to have faith in God. Religion is to keep people from evil because God wants us as close to him a possible. God knows whats best for us so i put my trust in him

Like I've said in the past, I do not believe in God, but I do believe in Jesus and that he died on the cross for all our sins.
But there being such a person/thing/force that could create what we are now is just unthinkable, I have high doubts that humans will ever find out, it is not going to be in our time of life, that's for sure.
Also, I do agree with you saying that those stories are to teach a lesson, and that they never did actually happen.
