I hope that this is true. I was dissapointed with the ending. But now that I think about it alot of this makes sense. But if the whole ending was a dream does that mean Anderson is alive?

I really think that the mass relays are gone. They were part of the reapers control. Shepard was returned to earth when everything was destroyed. The reapers are gone. It wasnt a dream.

We are not sure yet. Anderson may have been killed by Harbingers beam along with everyone else. I for one hope he is alive!

This is simply not true. Look at the facts. If you choose the "control" or "synthesis" option you can see that Shepard has been indoctrinated and turned into a reaper like husk! If you choose the destroy option he is consumed in the explosion. Plus, no matter what option you choose the citadel explodes. Shepard is not super man. There is no way he could survive that explosion and re entry into earths atmosphere then falling all the way to the ground. It was all a dream induced by the reapers to try and indoctrinate him.

Even if this is true (which I actually think it is) the ending is still pretty bad. You shouldn't have to watch a 20 minute video afterward (compiled by a dedicated fan) just to clear things up. From a story-telling standpoint it should all make sense and be clear at the end, and it isn't.

Regardless, it's still a great story overall, even if the end is a bit clunky. However, I think if the DLC does explain it, or somehow shows proof of Shepard's indoctrination, then it is quite the opposite, and one of the best endings to a story out there, cause I never saw it coming!

Thanks for pointing out these videos though, they are an eye opener! ;)

I agree, I think they were a little too tricky with the "ending" on the disk. Maybe they wanted to save the real ending for DLC because they want it to be huge or they are just money hungry and want that extra 10$.

Either way I'll be getting it because I'm dying to find out what happens.

Already working on my insanity play through, and I've been catching everything that has been pointed out in this video. I completely agree with this theory and if it is true, then bioware has taken what was possibly the worst ending ever to possible one of the greatest.
