If you put a lot of legitimate proof up people should believe you.

even though it sounds like a awesome idea, there is 2 many people out there already that are "REALLY trusted, people like "teh1337" he must make 2000 dollars a week easily" so like people said you need to be really trusted, also if u can code then create ur own patches and people will also want a peice of them or even pay you to get in one of them or even buy one off you.

What are you on about? He said nothing about hosting lobbies...

OT- As Spiff said, people don't trust the new guy... And what's worse than that, is they then go on to claim you will scam people, because you are not a trusted seller.

If you manage to get a good few sales, and some decent vouches, you may be ok, but until then, you will struggle to get going.

As for what else is in it other than money... I think you are too young to appreciate the reason for starting a "business" ;)

Let me explain what i did.

I wanted to stat using TTG to sell my consoles. but i know i didnt have have any REP, so i knew that no one would trust me. So i just started posting around in the forums (not spamming), but actually answering questions and helping people out. And started building up some rep.

Then i finished my first RGH slim and had some rrod hacked consoles i fixed and wanted to sell. Here's the link. Forums/t=2967116/usa-rgh-falcon-1...-dvds.html

I decided to sell the slim cheap with no profit, just so i could get a sell and would have someone to vouch for me on the next consoles i sold. All three consoles in that post were sold cheap. I gave this kid the jtagged xenon and RGH falcon (all cables included) for 130 shipped. I didnt care about the money at that time. Just wanted to get my name known and have some people vouching for me later on. And yes, you want to leave lots of proof in your pics.

I signed up to TTG when i started getting to xbox repairs but i only started making posts last month and im almost at 21 Rep.

Best of luck!

That's a lengthy way to go about opening a shop, and, in most cases, people have a harder time believing a deal when it's good.

Thing that bothers me is, PayPal makes it safe... You stand to lost time at the very MOST.
As long as you shop smart, even if someone tries to scam you, you will be able to claim the money back.

Good Luck with ya shop tyiphius, you have got my vouch when it comes to knowing what you are on about ;)

Thanks man! I just do consoles whenever get one. maybe like 1 a month. Ima start trying to do more. Theres a guy locally who's certified by microsoft to fix consoles. He just opened a shop and he straight up told me that i probably know more than him about xboxes. He wants to start selling rapid fire controllers, yesterday i was at his shop and he just handed me a controller, rapid fire kit, and a drill and was like "lets see how good you do". Was my first one and it was easy! So ill probably doing those for him and getting some quick cash. And when he fixes consoles, ill probably just buy a few off him, hack em and sell them here.

Im getting a job next week so ill be able to sell more consoles. Its hard living off xbox money!

I used to live purely off of money made by repairing and modding consoles while I was studying, then finished Uni, and my station broke Decided to leave it, but was good at the time,

Still do the odd reflow at work And I still flash consoles, cause it's good money for what might as well be no work lol. But repairs became a pain, got bored of it.
I never ever did rapid fire controllers, and I got asked about them all the time! Maybe I should have, maybe I should have a go now!
