Ok Im stuck on a problem and it goes like this, "What eukaryotic organelle is functionally similar to the prokaryotic cell membrane and its infoldings?" I was thinking its ribosomes, but Im not sure.

As an organelle, I would say the Golgi Complex as it is responsible for secretion and "packaging" of various macromolecules out of the cell through the Trans-Golgi Network.

Functionally, the prokaryotic membrane and eukaryotic membrane share several similarities.

Evolutionarily all organelles were more than likely infoldings of the prokaryotic membrane.

Im pretty sure TTG can be used for any sort of question plus this is general discussion where anything can be talked about. I googled the question and came up with the answer Golgi Body multiple times, and ribosomones once. I feel like my best bet would Golgi Body thank you everyone for the help!
