hey guys, i am looking to get into modding a little or even just to have a jtag so i can play all my old favorite games on an emulator... thing is im half dumb and know nothing of these machines. this kid said he will sell me what he believes is a jtag for 80 dollars... he bought it in hopes of the same thing i have but didnt research it at all.

i will do my research and figure out how to work a jtag once i own one....

here is a picture of the motherboard, i see a little additional wiring from the fans that makes me believe its some sort of mod...

any help appreciated & + rep given out til i am maxed for the day...

seeing that is has the fan mod that prob means it has had rrod in the past or has it atm.

unless it boots and shows a dashboard 2.0.7371 or less then dont wast your money

if not you cant jtag it or rgh it.

find a hdmi console with no history of rrod and stick a coolrunner chip in it

does not look to have the jtag wiring in it, when you turn it on by pressing eject does it boot into xell (quick way to tell of its jtagged with out looking inside) the pins next too the gpu's heat sink the short flat rectangle on the left would have three lil wires with diodes on them.

no that is not a jtag, it looks like a 12v fan mod, maybe the wiring for the jtag is under the mobo.
