Hey TTG, I was just wondering if any of you guys know what a good Mixing Table for a beginner is. I'm planning on learning how to DJ.

Thanks

Well it entirely depends on what you really want to do, if you want to learn how to dj like how they do in clubs then I would recommend the M-Audio XSession Pro, it is a very basic mixer for cross fading songs and what not. To be honest it is the cheapest mixer on the market.

Retail Price: $125.00

Price you can easily get it at: $50.00

If you want to learn how to mix like electro/dubstep artists due then I would recommend the Numark Mixtrack. It is the one I have and I love it, it has quite a bit of features and comes with a custom made version of Virtual DJ. It has two turn tables, effects buttons, loop buttons, cue buttons, effect knobs, etc. Very nice in my opinion and pretty easy to learn, but at a higher price.

Retail: $400.00

Price you could get it at: $150.00

I would recommend Guitar Center for this one, you can get it for pretty cheap there.

Here is a mix I did with this one:

+1 on the Mixtrack Pro.

However I recommend buying it from [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] .

They offer a 30 day money back guarantee and a 3 year warranty.

Another thing you should know about learning to mix, is that you need headphones.

I can't stress that enough.

Don't go for the ultra expensive ones like Pioneer HD1000s or Sennheiser's etc.

Numark have a budget headphone called the "Redwave's", which are a good price...good build quality, and have a removable cable.
