whenever i try to patch the xexp file with the xex file it always says it is not the correct patch file. but i have 100% completely retail xex files extracted straight from the disc and the xexp files have been extracted from the title update using le fluffie. i am trying to update black ops to tu 11. any advice if im doing something wrong? btw in xextool i type in cmd: xextool -p default.xexp default.xex

You have the wrong command line.

1. Re-extract the corresponding xex file from the Image/Disc (as it needs to be a retail xex). In the case of Black Ops, it'll be default.xex and default_mp.xex.
2. Extract the xexp files from the Title Update (I used le-Fluffie).
3. copy the xexp files for these into the same folder as xex tool.
4. Run the following commands:

xextool -p default.xexp -o default.xex.patched default.xex

do the same with the default_mp.xex:

xextool -p default_mp.xexp -o default_mp.xex.patched default_mp.xex

5. Save your original xex / xexp files elsewhere and remove the .patched extensions from the two created files.
6. Run X360GameHack and point it to this folder. It should report that 2 files have been patched.
7. Copy back to your game folder and (according to the document) it should work.

it still says its not the correct patch file for the xex. i dont get it. ive done it before with no error what so ever.

You need to use the original xex from the game, if you still have the original game files use the xex from that, and follow the command above.

ahh i do! i put the game into my jtag, go into xex menu, go into disc... not hdd1. and copy paste the xex files to flash drive, put them on my computer and try to patch the two. lol sorry to flame a little. but ive patched xex files before , but this is my first time doing it myself. ive gotten xexp files from the internet and patched them with retail xex's. but it doesnt work when i extract my own xexp.

This way would work too, it has to be the orignal xex's to patch with the xexp, and just follow the command above. I'm guessing this is mw3, if yes and you still cant patch the xex's I can send you the one's I patched with the current version 1.4.487.

Here's the files for Mw3 1.4.487, password is boback, yes you can system-link with these files you have to ftp/or copy and replace all the files in your mw3 game folder with this also the TU goes into cashe folder, I provided 3 folder's in this 1 with file's, 1 with patched xex's, 1 with TU [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]
