So your saying that skrillex is good because he uses that same repetitive bass pattern with a basic drum beat sounds good?

If you listen to one song from Scary Monster And Nice Sprites EP, infact, if you listen to JUST that song, you basically listened to all of his music that he's produced. Most of his songs sound so identical that I don't find it fascinating to listen because you already know what to expect from him.

His latest EP Bangarang, it's the same thing, only tweaked!

So this is why I would rather listen to other edm artists because they make music that's interesting and entertaining.

to somebody who has no training in music, or knows nothing about music beyond listening to it, yea sure alot of skrillex's music sounds the same. But skrillex is one of the best artists/composers today. His music is composed so well, and incoorporates such complex scale patterns and modes that make other elctro houe/dubstep artists look like sh-it. His song scary monsters and nice sprites is a great example, as well as it being his most popular song probably, it incoorporates simple chromatic scales to complex, twisted istrian scales. The music is beautiful, well written, and well composed. Dont bash an artist when you have no knowledge of music.
