Ok so my computer came up with a notification saying malware detected, the file has been quarantined, but i want to make sure that it has gone. Any ideas on what to do? Or is my computer safe now that it has been quarantined? Thanks the best help will recieve 20 rep.

Simple: Throw your computer out the window.

That should kill any virus.

What you want to get is malawarebytes anti-malware download that and remove it with that works everytime/8 4

When an anitivirus quarantines something, it puts it in a secure folder so it cannot do anymore damage. Usually it's quarantined for inspection purposes by either the user or makers Avira in this case.

The computer should be secure, most antiviruses delete whatever is in the quarantine every few days. You should be able to delete it by right clicking the malware from the AV screen. If not I can do it for you via Teamviewer if you need help.

Cheers thanks for the help, i already deleted it, and am currently scanning it with MalwareBytes.

No problem, make sure to go through your settings and change when an infection is found to delete it immediately.

Install malwarebytes and use it.
