Step One: Take the battery out.
Step Two: Take the hard drive out.
Step Three: Plug It in with the cord with the Hard drive and battery still out.
Step Four: Unplug, Put everything back in and turn on #Profit

The only thing that you can do is take the hard drive out and put it in another computer. I am guessing that you brother pressed hard enough to dammage the motherboard so you need to get another one, the only problem is laptops are not upgradeable.

Most laptops have an external hdd. It should be on the side or the back. If it is an I internal hdd then just unscrew the screws and take it out. Google will be your best friend on how to take your hdd out of your laptop. If you don't feel comfortable taking it out yourself then take it to best buy and have their geek freaks do it for you.
