You can save games, profiles, etc.. on a cloud (an online storage site), so now, in theory, you could have a 4 GB HDD and not necessarily have to worry about running out of space.

it means we can throw all our junk up at Zeus and let it float in the sky

no but really its just extra storage useful for going to a friends house

There was a video about it on the dashboard, it's a small amount of space you can use to put saved games or something small. To access all you have to do is sign into your account on any Xbox to use it.
