Yeah I think, it needs 13599 or higher. What Dash are you running atm?

Your drive has to be flashed with lt+2.0 if you want to play a backup of BF3 and lt+1.9x(or stock lol) if you want to play the original even if your on the newer dash. You can use dashlaunch so the xbox won't recognize updates. Updating is pretty easy though.

For your console to play games that have been released in the last week or so, you will need to either be on the kernel 13604 (latest) or find a patched xex file that allows you to boot the game from older dashes (usually up to 9199) and delete the $SystemUpdate folder.

The xex patching idea does not work with all currently released games, however, I know it does work for Skyrim.

You can also deal with it via Dashlaunch in some way, but I don't pay attention to DL, so someone else would have to explain that.

From what I have seen recently, the DashLaunch workaround, as well as modified xex's don't seem to work... Updating may be the only route! It's a shame, I hadn't updated in ages lol. Never really saw the point!
