Which genres you'll be listening to: Rock, Metal, Alternitive, and watching videos.

What kind you want: In ear

What you are listening from: laptop and iPod

I was just gonna get some apple headphones.

Meelectronics M6 or the Brainwavz Beta would be much better choices than iBuds! Glad you came here first!

Thanks a lot... But they both look kinda flimsy, there not going to break the day I get them are they?

Remember you're comparing them with iBuds here. Also, for 30 bucks you won't get the pinnacle of build quality. You could step it up and get the Brainwavz M2 which are very solid, just so you know. I'd go with the M6s if you need to stay withing budget, though. Zim actually has a pair, and I've seen them, and they look very solid to me. Also, consider that these are under 30 bucks.

Greeting friend,
I cannot vouch for the brainwavz, but I own the MeElectronic M6s and they are some of the most well built IEMs I've ever seen. Wholly recommended.
Best of luck,
Zim

For portability, you'd be better off with on-ear headphones. If you want to carry around full-size headphones, that's your choice. I find it to be pretty hard, though. Some fold like the Audio Techinca M50s, but higher-end headphones usually do not. The only ones I have seen that would be suitable would be the Ultrasone Pro series. You can get them at most budgets from $150 and up. If you would rather have on-ear headphones, the Aiaiai TMA-1s would probably be your best bet for bass-heavy music. They run around 150 bucks.

Look at the Meelectronics M6, Hifiman RE-2, Brainwavz Beta, and JVC Marshmallows.

Bedtime now. Be back with you guys tomorrow. Tell me if I forgot anyone!
