Type / form factor and portability: um idk what this means i want over head

Open/Closed (Not for in-ear): idk what this means

I'd save a little money and go for the Sony XB700. When I demoed them, I found that the bass was extremely powerful, but not overpowering. It stayed where it was supposed to be and didn't ruin the rest of the sound. If you're a basshead, they're indispensable.

Otherwise, the Koss DJ100 and the Creative Aurvana Live! are excellent options.

I'm going to assume you want either over-ear or in-ear headphones and can spend $300 max. If you want something cheaper, tell me what you actually want to spend or consult the guide in the OP at the bottom.

For a pair of over-ear cans, I would get the Ultrasone Pro 750. Incredible bass, good looks, portable, and great features.

If you want IEMs, the Sennheiser IE7 and Westone 3 are good high-end bassy options. The Sony EX600 is also a great choice at a lower price.

For earbuds, save some money and get the Blox M2C. The value makes them hard NOT to recommend. Another option is the Yuin PK3, but I'd get the Blox pair over them even.

Here's a newer similar guide that should still be completely relevant.
